Getting an MSN or Masters of Science in Nursing is a Masters degree in a specific area of nursing. Finally there is a Doctorate of Nursing which is used more for research roles. It is clear that if you want to earn a degree online in nursing, the possibilities are almost endless.
Tuition and Student Aid Considerations
Most online courses for earning a nursing degree will require you to get anywhere from 60 to 90 units. This is not including practical or laboratory hours, which will need to be completed separately. The majority of the online schools will charge anywhere from $110 to $200 per unit. This can be an expensive education, but there are many grants and scholarships available for these schools. Be sure to check them out. It is also possible to apply for student loans when going through an online training program if that will ease your way as well.
